Lots of people just think it just means people who are not legally allowed to stay get sent back to their country. They’re not educated enough to understand what it actually entails. This information is kept “secret” and as long as the people are happy with their material conditions they have no reason to seek alternative worldview.
They’re happy, they think their government is/was good, who treats/ed them well enough and they have no reason to doubt their government wouldn’t treat others well, after all it teaches that everyone is equal, that we are fighting for freedom, for equality, that our way of life is better than those sad people in the places with evil governments, that we are trying to save everybody and help everyone develop, be happy, we can’t save them because “bad people” won’t let us. Anyone who offers counter views is propogandist.
