I’ve seen the phrase scratch a liberal and a fascist bleeds, but I’ve never seen it admitted to quite like this.
Lining up behind the Democrats is a much closer point of cognitive stability than actively opposing both main parties, unfortunately.
Not that I disagree, this above phrasing would put pressure on the democrats to do better.
