Had some fun with this. Rules:

  1. When a tankie post comes up, post a legitimate, fair argument. Do not argue in bad faith. No matter how nasty the post may be. Legitimately combat the disinformation there by going into their bubble and posting a sane response.
  2. Watch the responses come in. Especially if the post is on the tankie triad.
  3. Don’t feed the trolls. Don’t respond to anything, unless there is actually a legitimate attempt to have a legitimate discussion. Otherwise, start a game of tankie bingo to help prevent yourself from responding to the madness.

Suggestions for expansion welcome.

That’s not a very strong argument. Its like saying you can’t complain about capitalism if you consume products of capitalism. More directly, I am sure other components of how you yourself access lemmygrad.ml were created and are maintained by heinous people. Internet itself was created in context of cold war anti communism. Devices, telecom networks etc.

Even more specifically one of the Lemmy devs is known to make comments against trans people. So is it the law of Lemmy that we all must adhere to?

Its not wrong on the mere premise, its wrong in factual basis and in conclusions drawn.

I think you misunderstand what I’m saying. Communist spaces are so sparse and niche online in comparison to lib or even fascist ones that seraching out a space by a Communist full of Communists and then complaining about all the Communists is ridiculous. It is not at all comparable to living in a world where capitalism and the “products of capitalism” are pervasive and often required to live in the modern age.
