I got to visit a nice city for a work-trip (my summer job has this work/retreat in said city) and it was a whole-ass week of everything I wanted: Walkability, public transportation, just me chilling with people roughly my age.
It was mind-blowing what I was capable of already and how well I can interact with real people roughly my age. For a whole week I got to LARP as an actual ambitious young adult and be allowed participation in society. Walked away with some connections in a city and some self-respect.
This trip showed me a reminder of the best of who I am. I still want to find out more of what makes me tick and get a career going, but this was an excellent way to start off the new year and to stop what I have done for a while: giving up.
