No need, we already have the Manga version of capital, the superior version.

For anyone who hasn’t read it, the story follows a man who makes cheese and goes on to start a cheese factory, and point by point he learns the hard way that even the owners of Capital aren’t really in charge under Capitalism, and how the contradictions of the system make worker exploitation, monopolization, crises of capital, and collapse an inevitable cycle, with regular asides from Engels to explain things. You could totally get Margot Robbie to play Engels and do a straight adaptation.
This sounds awesome actually.
Why does Karl look like he’s charging up?
That’s what the dialectic does to you
Take this! Energy from the entire proletariat!
how about Hexbear puts together some cash and makes a film version of Marx’s The Capital inspired by UlyssesT and based in Epstein’s notes
It’s a machinima film made in Star Citizen.
No lie that’s literally what I read and thought this was a badpost.
But now, instead, I’m just aware of missing out on a cool sounding Eisenstein film on Capital
Take me to the alternate universe where Einstein adapts Das Capital as a tik tok video compilation plz
I’m like 90% sure that such a film would have been made in the USSR, had the avant garde art movement of the 20s not been crushed by socialist realism… 😔

“Okay but how do we depict capitalism”
“Horrifyingly!”
“Yes but what’s going to be on the screen?”
“History!”
based on the genre of the essay
I absolutely would go to a cinema to watch the Shaun skull hate JK Rowling for 4 hours
“Hullo everyone :)”
Fuck AI
“Film essays” you say? what about these essays are in an online video form, and are about videogames and how capitalism is actually bad?
Watch some Chris Marker. no need to stoop to AI
That sounds very much like documentary cinema though. Like Koyaanisqatsi or something.
And honestly maybe something like Koyaanisqatsi but Capitalism might be pretty powerful. Now that I think more about it…
Oh wow. I think it was the first time I ever tried shrooms someone put that movie on and OH MY GOD
Started a love affair with Philip Glass that lasted the entire 90s. After listening to Music in 12 parts, all six CDs, over and over for years, finally I had had enough. Powaqqatisi was meh but way too third world. Naqqatasi was forgettable. I can’t even remember anything.
