My blood is about to boil and I am about to pull my American (yes, all Filipino American) cousins out of the hellhole.


Reminder: as it stands you do not need an American passport to enter Canada. You only need to prove American citizenship or permanent residency, which a passport does. A birth certificate or green card would also satisfy the special exemption for American temporary residents of Canada. Besides first nations, this is pretty much the only country like this (we’re also soft on Venezuelan applications not having current passports)
I’d also like to point out that a deliberate attempt by your nation to revoke passports or citizenship without cause is grounds for an asylum appeal under international law.
