    But thats not even how denmark got it. They won a… well lawsuit is not technically correct.

    I mean either way Denmark’s colonial claim doesnt go back to the vikings, it goes to Hans Egede who re-established official contact with Greenland after centuries. And Hans Egede (A Norwegian) explicitly went there to take over the place. He didn’t discover it.
    The Danish government and historians of the country do not claim Danes discovered Greenland, and do not derive the colonial claim from that discovery (Frederick IV explicitly allowed him to go to establish, not re-establish, colonial ownership of the land).
    We “got it” because Denmark was the senior partner in Denmark-Norway and got to dictate the terms of the separation.

    the ol’ “we have the right to that land because we’ll use it better” justification, used against a popular of largely indigenous people yet again. the only fresh part is that another white state has their colony flag there already.

    Not only has he done the most for African Americans (With the possible exception of Lincoln of course) but seems like hes trying to do the same for Native Americans too! YUGE!!
