Admittedly while my response would be entirely unhelpful in fixing people’s stupid views, I’d be hugely tempted to tell them that in future white people will become a minority and the civil rights act can then be repealed and white people can see what it was like living as a minority in a discriminating country; admittedly entirely unhelpful but I really hate people like this

    • [insert any progressive policy] was a mistake which could mean anything" and thats the fucken point where I just start slappin’

Then they should stop fuckin’ cryin’ when they hear about land reform in South Africa.

See, these mfers are bad faith fuckers, the likes of antisemites that Sartre condemned (to use that damned quote)

They know that their remarks are frivolous, open to challenge. But they are amusing themselves, for it is their adversary who is obliged to use words responsibly, since he believes in words.

They even like to play with discourse for, by giving ridiculous reasons, they discredit the seriousness of their interlocutors. They delight in acting in bad faith, since they seek not to persuade by sound argument but to intimidate and disconcert. If you press them too closely, they will abruptly fall silent, loftily indicating by some phrase that the time for argument is past.”
