This is mostly recency bias, but I really liked the series This Machine Kills did with Aaron Benanov on his papers “Beyond Capitalism” published in NLR. I think the first episode was in 2025 and the two in the series ware really thought provoking and I am still going through Aaron’s papers, since the “Beyond Capitalism” papers are over 100 pages combined. But it is really an interesting take on how the Socialist Calculation Debate really missed the real point and him trying to put forward potential ideas of how society would “plan” and allocate resources after capitalism. Accepting that even though Marx was not willing to write recipes for the cooks of the future, that doesn’t mean other people couldn’t speculate on what those recipes could be.
