The acting president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, and the Cuban Foreign Minister, Bruno Rodríguez, reaffirmed their joint commitment to defending national sovereignty and the Bolivarian Revolution this Thursday in Caracas, following the recent imperialist military aggression of January 3rd that resulted in the kidnapping of constitutional president Nicolás Maduro and first lady Cilia Flores.
At the same event, Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez paid tribute to the Venezuelan and Cuban combatants who died during the January 3rd attack. “I came from Cuba to pay a heartfelt tribute to the Venezuelan combatants who fell in combat defending the Bolivarian Revolution and the sacred Venezuelan homeland,” he declared before Delcy Rodríguez and high-ranking officers of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces.
Both authorities elevated the Venezuelan and Cuban combatants who fell in defense of the national territory to the status of Heroes of the Nation.
Furthermore, they reiterated that the Bolivarian and Cuban revolutions are beacons for the liberation of Latin America, in loyalty to the ideals of Bolívar, Martí, Hugo Chávez, and Fidel Castro.
