Yeah they don’t care about it, but they do care about social justice, that’s the one thing they have. That’s what the liberal anti-fascists are all about.
Ukraine is not any good, that isn’t any secret, pretty much all the liberal Ukrainians I’ve met complain about me about how dogshit their country is, but they like how it’s better here and in their eyes Russia is fighting against that, they don’t like that, they want Ukraine to be more like here.
A lot of these people justify support for Ukraine because they are treated better in their country than either Russia or Ukraine, but if Ukraine wants to be more like their country and Russia is fighting against that, it should be fairly obvious why liberals would pick that side.
Or should I say used to justify, because lately it’s been mostly doomerism and they’re slowly accepting that they got cucked by USA, they’re still not gonna loudly declare their support for a country that has passed laws against them.
Not to mention Kazakhstan recently joined in on passing anti-LGBTQ laws, really not making it easy for me to advocate for anti-imperialism when the anti-imperialists keep pushing to eradicate me. I might understand why it’s overall good that American empire is on the decline, but good luck trying to explain to a lib. All they hear is: “So this is why you should actually support a country that is fighting to make your life harder.” and immediately dismiss me.
Liberals care a lot about social justice, that’s the one thing they have. It’s quite a substantial crowd, you can see pro-LGBTQ+ groups all across the world support Ukraine, at least that was the case some months ago. They’re the pople I’m talking about who don’t like Azov and who think it’s silly to focus on their appearance, that they justify due to the war. But tbh idk what’s going on there, the country is so corrupt it could be anything, it’s a waste of time for me to guess. I just mentioned it cause I’ve seen similar tactics used by USA in the past, they’re really good at propaganda and controlling media narratives, that’s their favorite thing besides planning wars.
I think you’re making the mistake of confusing what liberals say they care about with what they actually care about. The only thing that matters to them is preserving western hegemony over the world, and they only care about social issues as far as they affect them personally.
Of course they don’t care about me, but the point I’ve been trying to make is that they’ve rigged the game and are trying to make us fight each other, by dividing us into separate camps.
When we fight over stuff like logo designs we’re distracted from the class struggle.
They also love to dehumanize groups of people and turn them into hiveminds. How they’ve manufactured Russophobia.
I’m well aware libs have 0 interest in human life that’s why I can totally see them dehumanizing Ukrainians too, likely because they want to start sending them to the meatgrinder back home from other countries, so they need something to manufacture consent for the kidnapping operations (they’ve been trialing in select areas, likely with the goal to expand). Azov serves perfectly to manufacture consent for an extended war. And it’s not like I have an issue with anyone critiquing them, to hell with them, simply trying to remind that we should never forget about class struggle.
Unfortunately we’ll have to build the 3rd camp all by ourselves. I’m well ware of that.
Yeah, I agree with all that. All I’m saying is that Ukraine is a perfect illustration how selectively libs apply their values. It’s an openly fascist state, they don’t try to hide it, and they don’t even see the need to do it. Yet, western libs conveniently look the other way because they don’t care one bit whether they stand with literal fascists, they see Russia as a threat to their ambitions, and Ukraine is just a tool to be used and discarded.
I think the focus has to be on educating people who are becoming disillusioned and falling out of liberal mainstream. As the material conditions in the west continue to decline, people are losing faith in the system, and they become open to new ideas. Unfortunately, as things stand, the right is doing a far better job recruiting than the left. For me, that’s the most worrying trend right now.
