    ack, this guy’s reaching too far. As if housing hasn’t been included in the race to the bottom like everything else. Look at the quality of modern ‘affordable’ housing.

      There’s a reason so many Americans live in “trailer parks.” The cost of mobile homes (“manufactured homes”) is significantly less than what you pay for homes in subdivisions (which are themselves dogshit).

      Please, build more housing. But to Americans that will mean bulldozing swampland, releasing ungodly amounts of methane in the process, and plopping down rickety crap that will get washed away in the next hundred-year flood… that actually happens every few years nowadays thanks to something called climate change, which a significant portion of the country doesn’t believe in.

      As you can tell, I’m not at all bitter about living in this failed state.
