Let me know if something particular stumps you or if you want clarifications on anything.
The short of it is containers are useful in that you, the user, don’t need to know bow the application runs or what its dependencies are- all you need to know is how to access it (what host port, your machine, will you map to the container’s application port and what host storage do you map to the container’s storage).
There are more capabilities/advantages beyond this, but that’s the 1000-level view. Also basically just ignore docker run and focus on docker compose scripts- they’re better practice and I think conceptually make more sense when learning the ecosystem initially

I went searching for this on my souces and couldn’t find anyone who had it, but it appears archive.org has a scanned version that you can borrow seemingly indefinitely with just an account on the website.
I looked into ripping off of archive and think it’s achievable via a few methods but I’m too tired to research further tonight. I’ll gladly look into it more tomorrow if the borrow method is untenable for whatever reason- just let me know.

To all the Linux users our there- you can have Heroic Games Launcher install a full proton-like stack automatically for games you have on the Amazon, Epic, and GOG storefronts to make this less of a hassle to work.
MotorStorm: Pacific Rift is my favorite arcade racer of all time on the PS3.
Has something like 9 classes of vehicles from motorcycles to big rigs and the various regiojs of tracks are all bangers.
It does require either a PS3 or a pretty strong CPU (7700x or better recommended) to emulate.
