Hey comrades <3!!!,

I’m Onandrah, a trans refugee living with and supporting my sisters after an attack earlier last year. I don’t post often here but I wanted to share what’s been happening with us here in Juba South Sudan

Late last year, my three trans sisters were arrested while fetching water. They were held without access to lawyers and when I tried to bail them using their documents… the police refused. For days, I didn’t know where they were or if they were okay and that fear still sits with me.

Because of the support from people here, we were eventually able to get two of them released. Olivia also became very sick, but thanks to mutual aid we cleared her hospital bill and she finished her treatment and I honestly can’t express how grateful I am for that.

One sister is still inside. Charity has now been in jail for over a month. The conditions are really harsh and every extra day she stays there puts her health at more risk. The police are still demanding $213 for her bail before she’s taken to court and I’m struggling to reach that amount on my own.

I hate having to ask again. I really do. But this is what keeps her safe right now. If a few people are able to give $5 or $10, it truly adds up. And if donating isn’t possible even sharing or bumping this post helps more than you might realize.

Thank you for reading, for caring and for the solidarity you’ve already shown us. Support link is in my profile if you’re able
