Will it take 20+ years for the empire to unravel? 40+? Doesn’t matter, even 20 is a tall order for me. It doesn’t help watching just how flaccid the U.S.'s opposition is, it’s like they’re not even there.
And what if it never unravels? 40+ years later and the U.S. turns out to have been getting stronger the whole time, somehow.
Maybe we got it wrong. The strength of a government or ideology lies not in how it can serve its population and keep them happy, but instead it’s how much it can push its population, piss them off, ruin their lives, and suffer no consequences for it no matter what. In that sense, U.S. ideology is the strongest of them all; it doesn’t have to please its population.
It feels like a mass conspiracy to extract as much suffering from people as possible. And 99% of all world governments are in on it.
Best ending for human civilization now is that it completely collapses and human society is no more. Humanity goes back to foraging for nuts and berries in the woods or something. This is optimistic, because I know what the worst case scenario is: the Earth razed to the ground, all non-whites have been enslaved or wiped out, white supremacy is a fact of life like gravity, while Fascists live their lives in luxury bunkers or bubble cities. “Oh but we can build socialism in the white supremacist bubble cities in a world that’s been razed to the ground!!!”" nah fuck that just hit the reset button at that point this is the losiest of all lose states lmao. The Fascists have already set the foundation for the worst version of socialism you can muster.
I don’t want to watch this anymore.
I don’t like being forced to watch all the selfishness and greed that plagues the world, run by heartless ghouls who only care about their own pockets.
Just get me out of here.
I don’t want to stick around to watch this any longer. I don’t want to stick around to watch the world get worse, and continue to get worse and worse with no way up. I don’t want to be here anymore.
Nothing but constant news of the world becoming a worse place, and how we are already beyond the point of no return. Always. Constantly. Over and over again.
Once all my obligations are out of the way, then maybe…
