    They cling so hard to the two party thing that they reinterpret their history as evidence that the system has been working “for the people”

    Even when that history is the history of the two parties swapping sides, changing names, and shuffling their decks mostly over the business of chattel slavery and it’s racist consequences. “For the people” my ass.

    Even the liberal history has this shit. This is them just willfully misinterpreting it because they are boneheaded ideologues.

      The US has also had eras of three parties or only a single party (insert one party state quote here). Democrats want to cling to something that’s younger than their institution.
