On January 7th, 37-year-old Renee Good was murdered by an ICE agent in Minneapolis. While a considerable amount of the discussion online has been about the direction her wheels were turning and things like that, truthfully, I think it’s just fundamentally bad to shoot a person to death with a gun if you happen to be a state mercenary enforcing an incredibly racist federal policy, regardless of the circumstances.
The murder has since prompted a wave of vigils and protests, not only in Minneapolis, but also in virtually every major city in the country. The demands are justice for Good in particular, and the abolition of ICE in general, to avenge its many victims. The Trump administration has done all they can to inflame the situation, designating Good a “domestic terrorist” and saying that the agent who shot her will be immune from prosecution.
Protests and resistance to this administration’s policies have, encouragingly, had an element of international solidarity - not only are flags from countries throughout Latin America (and also Palestine) present, but speakers in protests have even been actively condemning the recent imperialist actions against Venezuela. For it is, of course, one joint struggle. The imperial boomerang always returns - and in the modern day, it returns rapidly.

He also co-hosts The Duran, which is more explicitly conservative, racist, sexist, transphobic, anti-communist, etc when guests are invited on, but is just about tolerable when it’s just the two of them if you want a little more analysis.
Simplicius, who publishes on Substack. Like others, his political analysis should be soundly ignored, but his knowledge of weaponry and military strategy is generally quite good.

This is like Iran’s Tiananmen, man. There is no fucking way the attackers are not western assets. The CIA/Mossad is exploiting the moderate uncertainty and dissent within the country to make it look like this could plausibly be a grassroots terrorist campaign. Like they’ve done time and time again. Remember though, this is how the Vietnamese beat the U.S. They keep using the same moves again and again.
Iranians who value education and whose entire education system is based on the French, have been susceptible to the mass waves of western media apparatus and psyops throughout the Islamic Republic’s history.
But with Iran demonstrating a mastery over their cyberspace and with people all around the world bring disillusioned with Israel and the US - even amongst Western gen Z with whom Iranian gen Z have interacted - this is the final push the west will ever be able to do.
Among the Iranian diaspora is a feeling that this is it; that this is the revolution. They are wrong, as they have been about this many times before.
What’s different this time is that they are also saying: if it doesn’t happen now - it will never happen.
We know the Zionists are connected here. The same way people knew the 12 day war was coming 6 months in advance, the same way people know an attack was going to come after the winter holidays (current period in time), something might have percolated down.
It might be that the Israelis understand that if they lose this, then they have lost for good.
Yeah because they operate on creating a model that works and then putting that into repeatable practice until it is necessary to change it. The internal training and documentation of their process will be second to none given how many times they’ve done it. They follow an iterative approach too, learning and changing based on past experience.
But they don’t change it. That’s their weakness. They’re uncreative nepobabies. I mean yeah they somewhat change how they do what they do over and over but not enough to have it keep being effective at this point in history. You can still see what they’re gonna do from months or years away. Look at all the coups we pathetically failed to do in just the past two years alone. Look at all the tools they currently have and how ineffective they’ve been at managing and implementing them. Look how nearly every major military action that isn’t just a carpet bombing fails now. Remember how Israel, U.S., and Europe utterly demolished Gaza; then when the IOF fucking finally tried to do their final solution takeover of Gaza, resistance fighters swarmed their asses from the rubble to the point they pulled back out and went back to more carpet bombing?
